Dodgers News: AJ Pollock Transferred to 60-Day Injured List

The Dodgers have transferred AJ Pollock to the 60-day injured list to create the necessary roster space for the recalling of left-hander Zac Rosscup.

Pollock, signed this off-season by the Dodgers, has missed a majority of the season with an elbow infection.

The club is still expecting him to resurface shortly after the All-Star Break. His placement on the 60-day injured list has no affect on his return timetable.

Before going down, Pollock posted just a 64 wRC+ and -0.3 WAR in his first 28 games in Los Angeles.

My name is Daniel Preciado and I am 19 years old. I am a sophomore Sport Analytics major and Cognitive Science and Economics dual minor at Syracuse University. When I am not in New York, I live in Whittier, California --- not too far from Chavez Ravine. I am pretty old-school for being an analytics guy and I will always embrace debate. Also, Chase Utley did absolutely nothing wrong.

  1. I am OK with bringing Rosscup up for the BP but Rios is yet another LH bat we already have an abundance of. Memo to FO and Roberts…there is such a thing as a RH hitters box at home plate….

  2. Great more clogging in the infield. Hey Geniuses, you know where we could actually use a call up? The Catching position. Lose either Martin or Barnes and call up Smith and leave him here

  3. Totally agree. Austin Barnes can go Russell Martin has made plenty of bad plays. Dropped balls on tag plays. Passed balls etc. He had bright spot pitching 1 inning getting 3 outs on 8 pitches.
