  1. The only thing I have a huge problem with is our catcher Carlos Ruiz. I still don’t like the trade, and I see Ruiz as a complete defensive liability. His 1st game when he came to the Dodgers he blew, and again last night his glove turned the wrong way allows pitch to the backstop. Maybe I’m totally wrong here, but I remember in Pony League being taught if a runner (Baez) is caught between you and a base, keep the ball and run him back towards that base. Ruiz did not do that last night, and that’s the 3rd huge mistake from this Vet I’ve seen.
It was a bad trade, his offense is not worthy of that trade. I just don’t see it. One thing I remember about A.J. Ellis is how many clutch hits he produced, and how solid his defense was. It’s going to haunt the Dodgers, and I say that because it has happened again and again.

Yes and I was surprised in the way Baez was able to steel home and none of the commentators said anything thing about what a huge mistake it was.
