Dodgers Trade Rumors: Is Yasiel Puig in the Center of Three-Team Trade?

As the Aug. 1 trade deadline approaches ever so quickly, the Los Angeles Dodgers are reported to be talking to two other teams about a potential trade. This 3-team trade could land the Dodgers some starting pitching insurance.

Dodgers trade news includes an interesting report, According to Fox Sports’ Jon Morosi, outfielder Yasiel Puig has become part of trade talks that would send him to the Tampa Bay Rays.

For the deal to work, a third team would need to be involved, and it is rumored to be the Cincinnati Reds.

On the contrary, Los Angeles Times writer Bill Shaikin said that owner Mark Walter was not thinking about moving Puig by the trade deadline.

Other insiders suggest that the Dodgers don’t need to go after Reds slugger Jay Bruce and that there are other possibilities open for hitters on the market.

Dodgers trade rumors are that Puig has been part of the speculation that he might be dealt before the trade deadline for the past couple of seasons and has been limited to 158 games in the last two years due to many injuries. He has missed the past couple of games due to a hamstring injury.
