Recap: Kenley Jansen Gives Up 3 In 6-2 Loss To Phillies

The Dodgers finally made it to first place on Tuesday when they beat the Phillies 9-3! Unfortunately, they shared the spot with the Giants but first place is first place. The Giants beat the Marlins on Wednesday 1-0 so the Dodgers needed a win to stay tied with them. Unfortunately, they couldn’t pull it off.

Let’s take a look at the highlights!

The Dodgers started the game off early with 1 run in the bottom of the first thanks to an RBI double by Adrian Gonzalez!

The game would be extremely quiet up until the top of the 6th. Scott Kazmir would be pulled and replaced with Grant Dayton after giving up a single and a walk.

Dayton would go on to give up a 3-run blast off the bat of Freddy Galvis.

The Dodgers would try and make a comeback in the bottom of the 6th with a run of their own thanks to Rob Segedin!

Kenley Jansen would come in for the top of the 9th to keep the deficit to 1 run; however, something unusual would happen. Jansen would give up a 3-run double to Ryan Howard.

That would be it for the Dodgers, falling to the Phillies 6-2.

The Boys in Blue will have the day off tomorrow but will return on Friday to take on the Pirates at home! Friday’s game will be at 7:10 PM PST so be sure to follow us on Twitter at @DodgersNation to get the play by play! Go Blue!
