A Look at Dodger Stadium Field Getting Renovated for 2023 Regular Season

Another sign the new baseball season is coming soon! If you happened to stop by Dodger Stadium on Thursday, you would notice something a bit off about the field.

There is no field.

John Rivera on the “Dodger Nation” group on Facebook shared images of a grassless Dodger Stadium as it gets ready for new sod to be installed.

No, it’s not the largest bunker in LA in honor of Tiger Woods playing at Riviera this weekend, this is par for the course at Chavez Ravine. After an offseason filled with events like the huge Elton John concert series and most recently FanFest, the ballpark was due for a refresh.

Of course, the Dodgers will be in Arizona for the next month-plus, so there’s ample time for the master grounds crew to work its magic before the boys in blue welcome the Angels on Sunday, March 26th. Four days later will be opening day (night) against the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks.

It’s almost tiiiiime for Dodger baseball!
