Aaron Judge Rumors: MLB Insider Thinks Dodgers Sign Slugger This Offseason

The Dodgers are always in play for the biggest names on the market. This offseason is no different. Between Trea Turner, Cody Bellinger, Justin Turner and more, the Dodgers have a ton of money coming off the books in 2022. Because of that, they can make a big splash for one of the top names on the market — or potentially, the top name on the market.

MLB insider Mark Feinsand thinks the Dodgers are going to make a huge splash, and sign the No. 1 free agent, OF Aaron Judge.

“Los Angeles has plenty of its own free agents to deal with this offseason, but the idea of adding Judge to a lineup that led the Majors in runs scored seems unfair. The Dodgers have a ton of money coming off the books, putting them in play for pretty much anybody they want. Judge could play right or center field, and Mookie Betts is open to the idea of a move to second base.”

Judge hitting behind Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman would round out by far the scariest top of the lineup in the MLB. There would truly be no breaks, especially with Will Smith and Max Muncy hitting behind them.

No one would want to face that top five, and the Dodgers would just need a little more in 2023 from their bottom of the lineup and they could truly be unstoppable next season.

The Dodgers offense clearly needs a spark. Maybe the reigning home run and RBI champ is the answer.

  1. Not happening. 2023 is going to be all about seeing what kids pan out, paying pitchers that won’t pitch, bargain basement baseball. Maybe get a wild card after Padres win the division.

  2. Hey Gj, I don’t necessarily disagree with you, but after the Brewers traded Renfroe to the Angels for younger players, I still hope that Friedman could work out a trade with Milwaukee for Adames and Burnes. The Dodgers have enough young players to make a trade possible.

  3. The way the Padres outmaneuvered Fraudman and made their team better and younger and more set up for the future should have gotten Fraudman fired!
