Anthony Banda Sends Classy Goodbye Message to LA

Pitcher Anthony Banda may be headed to the Minnesota Twins, but he made sure to let Dodgers fans know how much he appreciates them as he leaves town.

The fan-favorite Banda took to Instagram to post an open letter to Los Angeles, noting that “the last two seasons changed my career.”

“I came here looking for a chance to contribute,” he wrote. “What I found was an organization that challenged me, trusted me, and pushed me to be better every day. Because of that, I played the best baseball of my life – and I was fortunate enough to be part of two World Series championships along the way.”

He was especially dominant during the 2024 postseason, pitching eight innings over 10 games with an ERA of only 1.13.

Banda Leaves LA ‘Grateful’

In his farewell message, Banda took the time to thank everyone who played a role in his and the team’s success.

“To my teammates – thank you for the work, the preparation, the accountability, and the bond we built in that clubhouse,” he said. “The standard in that room matters, and I’m proud to have been part of it.

“To the coaches, staff, and everyone behind the scenes – thank you for the belief and the support that allowed me to grow.

“And to Dodger fans – running out to that mound at Dodger Stadium is something I’ll never take for granted. Your energy, passion, and love for the game are special.

  1. Classy sign off, well done Anthony.

I think the D’s are making a mistake letting him go and I expect he will be picked up soon by someone. Best of luck to him and thanks for his contributions.
