Big Game Buehler, The Pen, and Patient Offense Help the Dodgers Win NLDS Game 1
Walker Buehler worked himself out of a bases-loaded, 1-out jam in the second inning and finished the night tossing 4 frames of 1-run ball. Dodger relievers picked him up, throwing 6 scoreless. L.A.’s offense wasn’t able to muster a base-hit through 5 innings, but managed to tie things up in the 5th after Justin Turner scored on an error by Padres second baseman Jake Cronenworth. The Dodgers eventually broke through in the 6th inning, scoring 4 runs on 4 hits.
