Bobby Miller Not With Dodgers in New York Hinting at Roster Move

It appears Bobby Miller’s stint with the Los Angeles Dodgers was a one-day thing this time around.

After pitching two innings in the team’s 5-2 loss to the New York Mets on Saturday, Miller is no longer with the big league club ahead of Sunday’s series finale. Miller allowed one earned run and a walk in his performance at Citi Field.

Additionally, a new reliever — right-hander Chris Stratton — is with the team, as it appears L.A. signed him after he was released by the Kansas City Royals. Stratton now has Miller’s locker in the clubhouse, an indication a roster move is imminent.

Miller heads back to Triple-A with a 12.60 ERA in the big leagues. He was called up after the Dodgers used eight different pitchers in Friday’s 7-5 extra inning victory over the Mets. While Miller provided length, it appears his time in the majors will be put on hold again.

The 25-year-old was once a key starter in the rotation during his rookie season, producing a 3.76 ERA with 119 strikeouts across 124.1 innings pitched. However, Miller endured a dire sophomore slumped, which eventually got him sent down to the minors last season.

With Oklahoma City in 2025, the right-hander is 1-1 with a 4.63 ERA, 31 strikeouts and 1.49 WHIP across 35 innings pitched. Miller made one start for the Dodgers earlier this season, but it was less than ideal as he gave up six earned runs in three innings.
