Clayton Kershaw Reacts to Finally Having Championship Parade With Dodgers
For so long, the Los Angeles Dodgers have gone without a championship parade. When they finally did win a title in 2020, Covid-19 restrictions prohibited them from having one.
So after Los Angeles took down the New York Yankees in the World Series this season, it was finally parade time. For all the players who have been with the team for years, this was going to be the moment that they deserved.
Starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw has been with the team for his entire career and has now finally been able to celebrate a title with a parade. He reacted to this by saying it’s the best thing he’s ever been a part of.
“This is the best thing I’ve ever been a part of.” He then started screaming “Two-time! Two-time!”
Kershaw has already said that he plans to return for the 2025 season. He was only able to pitch in seven games this year due to his recovery from offseason surgery.
He posted an ERA of 4.50 and a WHIP of 1.50 during those games. His year came to an end earlier than expected and he didn’t participate in the postseason at all.
However, he touched on his injury and how he feels good about his chances for next season.
“Mentally, I feel great. I had shoulder surgery last offseason, and my shoulder and elbow, everything, my arm, feels great,” Kershaw said on the Fox pregame show. “Obviously, I had some tough luck with my foot this year. But I want to make use of this surgery. I don’t want to have surgery and shut it down. So I’m gonna come back next year and give it a go and see how it goes.”
Fans will get to see Kershaw return for at least another year and he will get a chance to help this team out again. It remains to be seen if 2025 will be his final year but if it is, at least he finally got the World Series parade that he has been waiting for all these years.
