Clayton Kershaw Throws 6 Scorless Innings in Dodgers 4-0 Win vs. Braves

The Los Angeles Dodgers faced the Atlanta Braves for the second game of their three game series. The Dodgers are coming off a 4-2 victory and looked to begin a winning streak at home with Clayton Kershaw on the mound.

Before the game, the Dodgers honored Muhammad Ali with a moment of silence. Ali passed away on Friday at the age of 74.



Along with six scoreless innings Kershaw also gave the Dodgers their first score of the game after Justin Turner hit a single.

After his dominant play, Kershaw’s night was done after six scoreless innings.

Kershaw exiting the game at the 6th inning mark caused quite the conversation on Twitter.

Bottom of the 8th the Dodgers put the Braves away:

Kenley Jansen came in the 9th inning to close out the game and Thompson finished with three steals on the night. The Dodgers look to close out the series on Sunday with Scott Kazmir scheduled to get the start.

  1. It demonstrates the amazing expectations we have for a  Kershaw start as he held the opposition to a shutout for 6 innings. Had a hit and hustled around the bases to score the only run until the end and it is rated a less than average appearance. Any other pitcher and we would be writing how incredible his pitching and offense dominated the game. 
    Now as far as the offense goes these guys should be ashamed of themselves. 
    Our guys offensively have been embarrassing
    I will give a standing ovation to hard headed Mr Strikeout Joc for that drag bunt to break the game open. Well done young sir….
