This a real low class act putting Kershaw’s last game on Apple TV.
Tomorrow night will be Kershaw’s last home regular season game. It was NOT scheduled for Apple TV. Why are they taking it away from long time MLB.TV fans to put is on Apple? I don’t have Apple and am not subscribing to Apple for one game. I’ve been a Dodger fan since the mid 1950’s and what a load of crap. I don’t live in the L.A. area nor California now and am too old to travel. The Dodgers should treat their fans better.
I completely agree with you. The ONLY reason I subscribe to Spectrum cable is to watch Dodgers games. Otherwise, I would be switching TV content providers and saving a lot of money. Spectrum isn’t cheap!
I agree – I am a devoted fan and do not have apple tv. What gives? This is unacceptable!
Super unfortunate that Kershaw’s last regular season Dodger Stadium start is not on SNLA. Several insiders have said that the game will remain on the streaming site, and will not be available elsewhere.
Last season, MLB allowed for a Friday night game between Dodgers and Yankees to be on SNLA and Apple TV+. However, that won’t be the case for Clayton Kershaw’s final home start of the regular season. Severals fans have called for MLB to make the game available for everyone, but it appears it will remain an Apple TV exclusive.
I did an informal poll…
Question: Who has an Apple TV subscription:
Answer: 1 out of 17
B/C Apple is broadcasting it, I won’t be able to watch it. SMH Dodgers, what are you thinking????
Any chance Apple TV allows SNLA to simulcast the game due to the circumstances?
Unfortunately, no. It’s just Apple TV+ tonight…
Screw AppleTV and ALL Apple products
Apple and MLB corp are showing their true colors. Monetize anything, to hell with the fans. Fans are nothing more than dollar bills to them, both Apple and MLB. Both are true classless organizations.
If they have their way, soon, all broadcasts will be pay per view. How fast I’m not sure, but as fast as they can make it happen. I understand it’s a business, but there are good businesses that care about their customers and lousy ones who only care about the bottom line.
I hate seeing this pattern in professional sports. Same with the NBA and the many different streaming services fans need to watch games this year! As for Kershaw’s finale, I heard that people were able to do a free trial in order to watch it (and cancel after), but I agree that a pay-per-view on all games is the grim future.
I have Apple TV and use it to watch various movies and series unavailable elsewhere, and there isn’t a lot of junk you’d’ pay for on Netflix and other subscription services. So I watched the entire game. Their announcers were extremely complimentary to Kershaw and it was bittersweet to watch him in his last regular-season home game. It was classic Kershaw, giving up early runs and working out of a lot of jams. For those of you crying about not being able to see the game, you could have always used the Free Subscription for one week that they offer, so not sure why most of you didn’t do that.
