Dodgers Announce 2015 Spring Training Report Dates

Camelback Ranch

While Andrew Friedman and Farhan Zaidi are in the midst of remaking the Los Angeles Dodgers’ roster, those already with the organization were provided useful information on Friday as the team announced Spring Training report dates.

As is customary, pitchers and catchers will be the first to report and they’re are due at Camelback Ranch on Thursday, Feb. 19, with their first workout scheduled the following day. They’ll be joined by position players on Wednesday, Feb. 25, and the first full-squad workout will be held the next day.

Last year, the Dodgers navigated a truncated Spring Training schedule due to ringing in the 2014 season in Australia for the Opening Series while other teams were still playing Spring Training games. They won’t face a similar challenge in 2015, though on their schedule is a two-game series against the Texas Rangers at the Alamodome in San Antonio beginning March 20.

Returning to a normal schedule comes at a good time for the Dodgers as they’ll be breaking in a new middle infield in Howie Kendrick and Jimmy Rollins, will be in search of a new center fielder, and it’ll be Corey Seager’s first time participating.

The Dodgers’ first Spring Training game is scheduled for March 4 against the Chicago White Sox and their final exhibition game will be played at Dodger Stadium against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on April 4.
