Dodgers: Alex Wood Demos His Quarantine Spring Training

Assuming you’re like me and need any semblance of Dodger baseball in your life, this might be a fun little watch. LA lefty pitcher Alex Wood is one of a whole lot of MLB pitchers trying to figure out how to get work in and stay ready during this wait and see time for baseball.

It seems that he figured something out indeed.

It’s just so nice to hear that glove pop.

Wood, like many, has been fairly active on social media amid the shutdown. Moreover, he’s been focusing some efforts on trying to become a viral Tik Tok star

I’d say stick to your day job, but at the moment he sorta technically doesn’t have one.

The 29-year-old returned to the Dodgers after a one-year stop in Cincinnati where nothing went right for him. He injured his back in spring training only to return late in the season and struggle with command. At the suggestion of then teammate Trevor Bauer, Wood spent time refining his mechanics with Driveline Baseball in the offseason before re-upping with Los Angeles on a one-year contract.

Seeing Alex get after it in a bullpen provides a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel in an otherwise cloudy time for us all. Perhaps one day soon it can be time for Dodger baseball.
