Dodgers at Marlins: Lineups, Pregame Matchup and More for August 27

The Dodgers will take on the Miami Marlins for their second of four vs Miami and their second of 7 of this road stand overall. LoanDepot was good to them last night especially in the later innings as they secured their 87th victory last night, 10-6.

LA will look to continue to take advantage of Miami on their home diamond and get their 88th win of the season. Dodgers young stud Dustin May will make his second start of the season as he will face Cy Young candidate Sandy Alcantara.

Last week, the Dodgers handed Alcantara quite possibly his worst loss of the season, only going 3.2 innings, 6 ER, 5 K’s and 1 BB. LA attacked him early and often and that will need to be the recipe once again.

May looked fantastic in his first start back from Tommy John. The 24-year-old went 5 innings strong, with 0 ER, 2 BB and 9 K’s. Safe to say that Pennywise is back ready and to cause destruction for opposing batters.

Top of the lineup is relatively business as usual. Most of the lineup is right handed at a 5:4 ratio. Joey Gallo will make his first appearance on the road trip starting at left field. Inputting Gallo makes it the only change manager Dave Roberts will make compared to last night’s lineup.

Today marks the 125th game of the season for Los Angeles.
