Dodgers Beat Padres, Lance Lynn is Exactly What LA Needed, Freddie Freeman MVP
The Dodgers and Lance Lynn overpowered the Padres on Sunday, using the long ball and small ball to put up 7 runs en route to LA’s first Sunday victory since May 14th.
Lynn was exceptional for 6 innings, allowing just one run on a solo homer. He was the recipient of some quality defense behind him including a 2nd inning double play that the Dodgers successfully challenged to end a San Diego threat.
Freddie Freeman led the Dodgers to the win with an impressive 3 run home run off old friend Rich Hill, continuing his torrid stretch. Mookie Betts added his team-leading 30th bomb of the season.
Ryan Brasier gave up only his second earned run since joining the Dodgers before Brusedar Graterol and Yency Almonte shut down the Pads in the 8th and 9th.
