Dodgers Call Up Bobby Miller, Option Struggling Pitcher
The Los Angeles Dodgers have called up right-handed pitcher Bobby Miller to make his 2025 regular season debut.
Right-handed pitcher Landon Knack was optioned to make room on the active roster. Knack has a 7.27 ERA across three appearances and 8.2 innings this year.

Miller, 26, has made three appearances in Triple-A this season, sporting a 2.25 ERA across 12 innings of work. Miller entered spring training as a candidate to earn the No. 5 starter job, but was hit in the head by a line drive in the Cactus League opener that essentially took him out of the running.
Miller fortunately didn’t suffer any severe injuries, and is now getting his first opportunity at the big league level just a couple weeks into the 2025 season.
Miller had a trying 2024 season after a breakout rookie year in 2023. Miller made just 13 starts at the big league level last year, sporting an 8.52 ERA over 56 innings of work. He had a 3.76 ERA across 22 starts in 2023.
Miller finished the 2024 season in Triple-A, and didn’t earn a call up when the Dodgers desperately needed starting pitching help entering the postseason. However, the right-hander has looked sharp thus far in the minor leagues, and will look to prove he’s fully back with a start Wednesday against the lowly Colorado Rockies.
