Dodgers’ Chris Taylor Doesn’t Have Locker In Clubhouse
Los Angeles Dodgers utility man Chris Taylor does not have a locker in the clubhouse ahead of Sunday’s series finale with the Los Angeles Angels. It was later reported that the Dodgers released Taylor.

Taylor’s absence indicates a roster move is coming soon. Dodgers star Tommy Edman is expected to be activated Sunday.
With Edman expected to be in Sunday’s lineup, the Dodgers released Taylor to clear a roster spot. The move comes as a surprise given Taylor’s lengthy tenure with the Dodgers, 10 seasons to be exact.
This season, Taylor was slashing .200/.200/.257 with two runs batted in and an OPS of .457 across 28 games.
Nevertheless, the Dodgers parted ways with longtime catcher Austin Barnes earlier this week, which made it clear there was no room for sentimentality. Barnes was slashing .214/.233/.286 with two RBIs and an OPS of .518 across 44 plate appearances.
The Dodgers could have opted to send Hyeseong Kim back to the minors, but instead chose to part ways with the veteran. Kim is hitting .452 with five RBIs and an OPS of 1.065 in 13 games with the Dodgers.
