Dodgers: Cody Bellinger and Clayton Kershaw Help Keep a Kid in the Game

Dodgers All-Stars Cody Bellinger and Clayton Kershaw helped convince a young Dodger fan to not give up on baseball, and keep pursuing his dream.

This is part of the ongoing “Don’t Retire, Kid” campaign which is in place to motivate youth sports participants to keep their love and heart in the game, even in tough times.

The young Dodger fans name is Colt. He is just 9 years old, and he took a break from playing youth baseball, while going through a tough time this summer. He was close to quitting, because he was getting tired of it.

However, Cody Bellinger and Clayton Kershaw were able to change Colt’s mind.

Bellinger and Kershaw gave great advice to Colt. Sports isn’t all about winning and losing. Of course, any competitor would want to win, but it’s also about meeting new people, making new friends, creating a bond with the team, and the team becoming your second family, along with many other benefits.

Bellinger and Kershaw inspired Colt, and he decided to keep playing baseball, because of all the memories he has made, and will make in the future.

Sports are the best, and Cody and Kershaw are the best. Don’t retire, kid.

  1. Who else was the anti social loner on the team who either struck out or walked, played left field and quit the game long before high school? I know I’m not the only one here. Let me know in the comments below
