Dodgers: Cody Bellinger and Max Muncy Break the Top 10 Bat Flips of 2020

Bat flips aren’t always for everyone, but the average MLB fan loves to see them. Dodgers fans have become big fans of them over the last few years as their players have gotten more and more creative with how they pimp a homerun.

MLB Network recently ran a countdown in MLB of the best bat filps in baseball during the 2020 season. Two Dodgers players landed in the Top 10 with Max Muncy taking #6 and Cody Bellinger’s coming in a #3.

Muncy’s bat flip came on a homerun during Game 2 of the National League Championship Series. With the Dodgers trailing by 4 runs in the 9th inning, Muncy launched a 2-run shot into deep right to put them within a few runs. Unfortunately, Los Angeles came up just 1 run short and fell behind 2 games in the series. But we all know where it went from there.

Cody Bellinger’s ended up being a little more important, which is probably why he took the #4 spot. With Game 7 tied at 3 runs in the 7th inning, Cody Bellinger CRUSHED a ball off of Chris Martin to take the Dodgers to the World Series. He also dislocated his shoulder during the celebration so, that’s fun.

Even if you aren’t a fan of bat flipping in baseball, you can’t help but smile at these as a Dodgers fan. Muncy’s is especially enjoyable given how quiet he generally is both on and off of the field. Also, this is just your daily reminder that the Los Angeles Dodgers are World Series Champions. Soak it in while you still can!
