Dodgers: Corey Seager Back in the Lineup Tonight
Dodgers fans have been wondering all week when Corey Seager would be making a return to the lineup. They finally got that clarification today when Los Angeles released their lineup.
Corey Seager is batting second and DHing in the Dodgers games against the Padres this evening. Seager had previously been sitting out since he was removed from the game last Friday. After diving for a ball in the hole at short, he had training staff come out and remove him.
Doc says that having Seager back is great and entirely unexpected.
“I didn’t expect him to be ready to play in a game tonight”

For the Dodgers, Seager’s return could not have come at a better time. Los Angeles’ offense has struggled as of late, though they did just put up 6 runs in last night’s game. Still, having one of the hottest hitters in baseball to your lineup can only be an upgrade at this point.
Chris Taylor has seen a lot of time at shortstop in Corey Seager’s absence. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts did say that he was surprised to see Seager return and that he felt he could play shortstop tonight.
Up Next for the Dodgers
Los Angeles will travel down to Anaheim for a series against the Angels this weekend. As of now, Clayton Kershaw is slated to get the ball for the series opener on Friday evening.
