Dodgers: Corey Seager Held Out of Lineup With Calf Soreness

The Dodgers will be without the services of one of their hottest hitters on Sunday afternoon. Corey Seager reportedly will be held out of the lineup and entirely unavailable against Arizona.

Dave Roberts did clarify that the injury to Seager was not related to the foul ball hit off of his leg. Instead, dehydration is being attributed to the calf cramp that will hold him out. The Dodgers listed him as day-to-day for the time being.

The loss of Seager in the lineup is a big one as he has been on fire at the plate. Seager has three homeruns in the last four games and has consistently put the ball in play hard. Chris Taylor figures to get more time st shortstop should he miss any extra time.

What’s Next For the Dodgers

The Dodgers play one more against Arizona today before they head to San Diego for a series with the Padres. They will play three there before heading back home. The Giants come to town for a three-game series starting on Friday. They are off for a rest day on Thursday.

  1. C’mon man. A zillion dollar organization doesn’t have nutritionists and sports doctors making sure this kind of thing doesn’t happen? Unbelievable.

  2. Who is in charge or responsible for “Gameday”? What an absolute joke is this ‘service’. During the first Arizona game there was about a fifteen to twenty minute absence of continuity during a Diamondback at bat. On many occasions pitches are missed (not reported) and the next graphic will be the following batter with two or three pitches already thrown. I live in Penna and don’t receive the televised nor radio broadcasts, but have remained a loyal Dodger fan for over 70 years. If they cant do any better than presently, they may as well discontinue the attempted broadcast.
