Dodgers: Could Mookie Betts Team Up With LeBron James to Buy a WNBA Team?

What a time it is to be a fan of sports in Los Angeles. Not only are the Lakers and Dodgers coming off on Championships, but both teams are stacked with generational talent. LeBron James and Mookie Betts might be two of the biggest names to represent the city of LA.

And now, there’s a possibility that the two superstars could team up at some point. The Dodgers outfielder posted a response on Twitter when James said he wanted to put together an ownership group to purchase the Atlanta Dream of the WNBA. Betts was immediately ready to join up.

James posted that in response to The Dream wearing shirts in favor of Democratic candidate Raphael Warnock running for the Senate in Georgia. Betts and James have both been very vocal in support of groups dedicated to fighting social injustice around the country, especially over the last few months. If the Dodgers and Lakers starts were able to pair up, that would be one heck of an ownership group.

Two former Astros players were named in a report that alleged that a clubhouse manager helped pitchers doctor the ball. That includes Justin Verlander, who pitched against the Dodgers during the 2017 World Series when the Astros illegally stole signs.

The Dodgers are reportedly still interested in acquiring another arm, even after the Blake Treinen signing. Adding Kirby Yates into the mix could be a HUGE addition to the bullpen. The former Padres closer already has the attention of LA’s front office, so a match is possible.
