Sasaki hasn’t pitched back-to-back days yet, but Roberts said he is available after throwing 13 pitches and getting the save on Thursday night. Sasaki has pitched back-to-back games this postseason, but they came with off-days in between.

Sasaki has been the Dodgers’ closer this postseason, making six appearances and closing out four games while notching three saves. He’s pitched a total of seven innings, allowing just one run on two hits with six strikeouts. His ERA this postseason sits at 1.29.

Shohei Ohtani is starting for the Dodgers on Friday night as LA looks to complete the sweep. Ohtani pitched in Game 1 of the NL Division Series, going six innings and allowing three runs with nine strikeouts.

The Dodgers bullpen had accounted for just one inning through the first two games of the NLCS, but covered 3.1 innings on Thursday night, with Sasaki closing things out. A day later, there’s a chance he could send the Dodgers to the World Series.
