Dodgers Fans Have Seemingly Lost Faith in NLDS Comeback

Entering game three of the NLDS, the Dodgers find themselves in a spot that they never likely envisioned. They are down 0-2 in their series against the Arizona Diamondbacks and now will need to win the next two games in Arizona to just get the series back to Dodger Stadium for a win or take all game five.

The odds aren’t in the Dodgers favor going forward, and it seems that their regular season success once again isn’t translating over to the playoffs. The offense has gone cold through the first two games, and the starting pitching hasn’t been able to go one inning without giving up the lead.

It’s been a disaster for LA so far, and now they face elimination on Wednesday. Veteran Lance Lynn will take the mound for the Dodgers, and their season rests in his performance.

But it seems that many Dodgers fans have already given up hope of the team coming back.

While it may be unlikely, the Dodgers have won multiple games in a row numerous times this season. They have also won two games back-to-back in Arizona this season as well, so it can happen.

All this team needs is one win, and that could be enough to at least get this series back to Los Angeles for game five. And then, anything can happen from there.

The offense that set records this season needs to wake up and do their part otherwise nothing the pitching staff does will matter. Arizona has shut them down, and it’s been pretty ugly, to say the least.

While this was supposed to be a step-back type of season, the Dodgers defied expectations all year long, and now they will need to do it again. This has been a fun season throughout, and it would be a sad way for it to end on a sweep or first-round exit again.

  1. Injuries happen to EVERY team. Good front offices sign players to make up for this. Fraudman and Uncle Gomez lost out on EVERY big free agent that could have helped . This season once again is a loss even with 100 wins . This front office needs to win on every big free agent pitchers, 3rd baseman , and shortstop that they can find. Pitching and great defense wins in the postseason. The bats prosper during the regular season against avg pitching . It is not rocket science !!
