Dodgers: Former Fan Favorite Declines Option with White Sox, Becomes Free Agent

The Dodgers don’t have a need in the outfield, and if they are looking at anyone it would be Aaron Judge, but it’s worth noting that AJ Pollock declined his option and is now set to hit the market. Pollock spent three seasons with the Dodgers and was a part of the 2020 World Series team.

Pollock is a name Dodgers fans won’t soon forget as he continues to remain a favorite among Dodgers fans. Pollock made the most of his time with the team as a valuable piece in the outfield while racking up 52 home runs and 150 RBI’s on a .282 batting average in his Dodgers career.

In recent memory, Pollock was a part of the trade that sent Craig Kimbrel to the Dodgers. This of course brings constant nightmares for fans as Kimbrel failed too many times and was so untrustworthy that he was not on the postseason roster.

This causes Dodgers fans to miss Pollock even more whether it’s from the gap he created, which fortunately was filled with the help of Trayce Thompson and Joey Gallo, or just his hatred towards the Astros in general.

Pollock will likely find a new home despite being 34 years old and will hopefully find a team that will give him some more playing time. A Dodgers reunion is not in the cards, but it’s pretty certain that Dodgers fans would love to see Pollock back in Dodgers Blue.
