Dodgers: Fox’s ‘Family Guy’ Has Fun at Cheating Astros’ Expense

Hey, remember that time that the Houston Astros cheated their way to a World Series in 2017? Against the Dodgers… yeah, remember that? While Astros fans are doing their best to escape that headline (much like the players escaped punishment), many baseball fans aren’t quite ready to let them off the hook quite yet.

For example, the long-time Fox comedy “Family Guy” took an unexpected opportunity to throw some shade at the Cheatstros.

The clip references the trash can banging scandal that dominated headlines about a year ago after internet star Jomboy posted a video pointing to several incidents involving the sign stealing against the White Sox.

Of course, the biggest victims of this crime were the Dodgers. The 2017 team won 104 games en route to the National League Pennant. The Astros finished that season with 101 wins powered by increased usage of sign stealing.

So here we are more than a year removed from when the initial story broke by The Athletic that Houston stood accused of cheating and they’re still getting slammed by people.

It’s almost like, if the players had shown actual remorse for their crimes, the healing for baseball could have already begun.

  1. Other than having to give the up the trophy, the next best thing would be for the Asterisks to become a perpetual punch line!

  2. The Houston * Asterisks will forever be known as The Cheaters period!
