Introducing “Dodgers Headlines” where we dig into the latest and greatest involving your LA Dodgers! This week, we dig into Kiké Hernandez’s contract demands, LA signing 5 players to minor league deals — including a few familiar names — and the slightly new-look coaching staff for 2021.

Perhaps the biggest news from the week (besides the Trevor Bauer to LA chatter) is all the low risk, high reward players Andrew Friedman signed on Friday afternoon. Headlined by former Dodgers Brandon Morrow and Brock Stewart, LA added potentially key bullpen depth to fill in for the departed Pedro Baez and Blake Treinen.

Given that it’s only mid-December, chances are that Friedman continues to fill out that bullpen for another title run in 2021.

  1. Hey, Doug while I appreciate the information can you transcribe your podcasts? I find it agonizing to listen to 40-50 minutes of podcast for 5 minutes of actual interesting content. You sir are in desperate need of a director or editor.

    1. Agree. I’m a speed reader, not a speed listener or watcher. I like to scan to what I’m looking for quickly. But the trendy thing is whatever the latest technology is. But hey what do I know. I still read books.

  2. Clint, you say some of the podcasts are 8-10 minutes. Ok but how much of that is actually interesting information instead of just filling space?
I have to FF through most of the podcasts as it just goes on and on….

  3. Game 6, not game 5, of the World Series
At the very least, be factually correct on easily verifiable stuff

  4. JT is the man.. However, with that being said, 38 in professional baseball, especially playing third base is for all practical reasons, you’re maxed out… JT still got the bat but not the legs.. A supporting role without the stress and strain of daily-play would be a plus for his career and the team… Otherwise, painful for the fans “ME” as I’m sure it will be, the business of baseball demands the best take the field…
