Dodgers: Highlights from Clayton Kershaw’s Gem, 5-1 Win over Arizona

Last night was as vintage Clayton Kershaw as you can get. The ace carried a no hitter into the 6th inning and the Dodgers stomped the snakes 5-1, completing the three-game sweep.

Kershaw picked up his 5th win of the season and added 8 strikeouts bringing him up to 2,505 Ks in his career and passing a baseball legend on MLB’s all-time list. The Dodger bullpen allowed only 1 run in relief of the ace.

Corey Seager added 3 hits on the night, bringing his season batting average up to .323, 7th best in the National League. AJ Pollock came off the bench to hit the Dodgers’ first pinch hit home run of the season. Chris Taylor and Enrique Hernandez each had two base hits on the evening.

Los Angeles welcomes the Colorado Rockies to Dodger Stadium for their last matchup in LA of 2020. Dustin May (1-1, 2.83 ERA) faces Anthony Senzatela (3-1, 3.32 ERA) at 6:40 PM PT. The Dodgers have 11 games remaining at Dodger Stadium in the regular season.

  1. The Bullpen is fluctuating and at times looks like a roller-coaster. I’m not sure why because these guys are supposedly the best. They need to clear the cache of BS out of their heads before game time. Clayton goes out there and works his butt off and then some plebe comes in and blows the shut out!
