As such was the case for Dan Haren Saturday, Greinke’s final start came to an end after five innings. Yimi Garcia took over in the sixth and struck out the side. Bergman struggled again in the sixth and was removed after giving up three consecutive singles, with the third driving in a run.

Rob Scahill took over for the Rockies and didn’t fare much better as he promptly gave up a three-run home run to Roger Bernadina. Barnes and Rutledge hit back-to-back singles in the seventh off Pedro Baez, who then got defensive help from Barney.

A Gold Glove winner in 2012, Barney made a leaping catch on a soft liner hit into center field. Baez then struck out Matt McBride before turning the ball over to Daniel Coulombe. The lefty gave up a single to Charlie Blackmon that loaded the bases and they were then cleared by Rafael Ynoa’s double.

Coulombe ended the inning with a strikeout and the Dodgers ahead 9-4. With two outs and runners on the corners in the bottom of the seventh, Bernadina collected his fourth RBI of the game on a base hit to right field.

Wilin Rosario hit a solo home run off Coulombe in the eighth, but the Rockies didn’t muster much else and the Dodgers ended their regular season with a fifth consecutive win.
