Dodgers Honor Spanish Broadcaster Jaime Jarrin During Pregame Ceremony
Prior to Saturday night’s win over the Rockies, the Dodgers took the time to honor Jaime Jarrin who has spent the past 64 years as the Spanish-speaking broadcaster for LA.

Jarrin joined the Los Angeles Dodgers back in 1959 and heading into the season, he revealed that this would be his last year as the Spanish-speaking voice of Dodgers baseball. He will forever be remembered for his love for the sport and his excellence in broadcasting.
He has been honored with the Ford C. Frick Award from the Hall of Fame in 1998 becoming the second Spanish-speaking broadcaster to ever receive this award. In 2018, he was also honored with a permanent spot in the Dodgers’ Ring of Honor alongside his former longtime colleague, Vin Scully.
Before Saturday’s game, Roberts shared a few words about Jarrin and his legacy with the Dodgers:

Additionally, Dodgers stadium made sure that the Ecuadorian sportscaster felt the love and appreciation from the team that he’s poured into for the past six decades:

Not only that, but the city of Los Angeles paid their respect to the longtime broadcaster as Mayor Eric Garcetti presented Jarrin with his fourth key to the city of Los Angeles and declared Oct. 1 Jaime Jarrín Day in the city of Los Angeles.
It was a special day for Jaime Jarrin and all his friends, family, and fans who celebrated the dedication Jarrin had given to this team.
And to Jaime Jarrin: “Muchas gracias por su carrera en radiofusión y felicidades en su siguiente capituló!”
