Dodgers Hot Stove: LA Reportedly Interested in WS MVP Jorge Soler
Dodgers fans were treated to another intriguing free agency rumor to start the weekend. According to MLB Insider Héctor Gómez and Univision’s Mike Rodriguez, the Dodgers are interested in outfielder and designated hitter Jorge Soler.

Last season, Soler produced a .223/.316/.432 slashline in 149 games between the Royals and the Braves. All in, the slugger collected 27 home runs and 70 RBI during his 2021 campaign.
It was a nice season for the slugger, but he absolutely shined during the Braves 2021 World Series championship run. After having just two at-bats in the NLCS against the Dodgers, Soler logged 20 at-bats in the World Series and made the most of them. He hit three home runs, posted an insane 1.191, and took home the 2021 World Series MVP.
On the Dodgers, Soler would likely rotate in as a designated hitter and pick up a start or two in the outfield per week. Dodgers fans would probably prefer that LA re-sign Albert Pujols, but Soler would be another great designated hitter option.

I will follow the Dodgers because I love the game but I will never spend another dollar on major league baseball.
