Even though the MLB lockout remains in full effect, the hot stove experts are out and about and still making their predictions on where players may end up before the start of the 2022 season. Over the last week, we’ve explored thoughts on Clayton Kershaw, Kenley Jansen, Freddie Freeman and more.
Additionally, our team at Dodgers Nation has continued to explore potential trade and free agent options that could help our boys in blue in their quest for another title this year.
First, what the experts are saying.
Notably, baseball fans agree that Kersh will be returning to LA. Close to 48% of voters on a recent MLB Trade Rumors poll say he’ll be a Dodger. 26% say he’s going to the Rangers. Just under 8% say he could retire.
Moving on to Kenley Jansen, it seems that the Dodgers reportedly were working on trying to complete a deal before the lockout began.
As for the other big free agents…
And our thoughts on some players that could just seem to fit.
There was at least one player move this week though!
Hopefully, MLB and the MLBPA will get back to work in discussing core economics for the next collective bargaining agreement and start getting closer to baseball being back. Pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to spring training in just over one month.
