Dodgers Injury News: Gavin Lux Will Require Rehab Assignment
This week Gavin Lux made his way to the Dodgers’ Camelback Ranch Complex in Arizona to work on his injured hamstring. However, it may take a little longer before he is back and activated off the injured list.
When asked about how Lux is doing right now, Dave Roberts said:
He’s there at CBR getting treatment in the cage. I saw some swings today, looked really, good fluid. It’s just a day-to-day progression and I just don’t know when we were going to get him out to playing.
The Dodgers infielder will need to go at his own pace before getting back out on the field, but he has said how he thinks his recovery is going better than expected.
Dave Roberts also mentioned what is next for Lux while he is in Arizona.
I expect him to go on rehab assignment to get his swing right and also to make sure his hamstring is right.
Lux will be going on a rehab assignment soon and if he shows that his injury has improved, then he should be able to get back in action.
Notably, another injured shortstop, Corey Seager, is alongside Gavin at CBR. By all accounts, Seager could be heading out on an assignment soon.
Right now, injuries are at an all-time high with the Dodgers and each player is on their own timeline. Although it may be frustrating for you Dodgers fans, it is even more frustrating for the players. There is still plenty of time in the season and players will be finding their way back to the team soon enough.
