The Los Angeles Dodgers are expected to add at least one reliever this offseason, and could potentially add two.

While they’ve been linked to many of the big names — Edwin Diaz, Devin Williams and Pete Fairbanks, among others — on Thursday, a new name entered the mix.
MLB insider Francys Romero reported the Dodgers are among the teams interested in signing right-handed reliever Raisel Iglesias. The Los Angeles Times confirmed that report, saying the team would likely be interested in Iglesias on a shorter-term contract.
Iglesias, 35, is an 11-year veteran who most recently spent three-plus seasons with the Atlanta Braves. While never an All-Star, he’s been a steady presence in the back of bullpens for the better part of the last decade.

Iglesias has a career 2.90 ERA across 600 appearances, with just 21 of them being starts that came in his first two years in the league. He has 253 saves and has finished 459 games, with 869 strikeouts over 736 regular season innings.
This past season, Iglesias had a 3.21 ERA across 70 games, his highest end of season ERA since 2019. He finished the 2024 season with a 1.95 ERA, and the 2023 season with a 2.75 ERA. Overall in his three-plus seasons with Atlanta, he had a 2.35 ERA with 97 saves across 222 games.
Iglesias has never been a flamethrower-type pitcher, so his success has continued late into his career. His four-seam fastball, which averaged 94.8 mph this past season, was hit at a clip of just .129.
Iglesias would be a great option for the Dodgers, or any team not looking to shell out longer-term deals to the pitchers at the top of the market. Iglesias just finished out a four-year, $58 million deal he signed with the Los Angeles Angels (before being traded to the Braves). Spotrac currently projects a two-year, $17.6 million deal for him this offseason.
