Dodgers: Kenley Jansen Takes Fans on a Tour of His Home in Curaçao
Thankfully the Dodgers’ media team is still hard at work during this time with no baseball. On Wednesday, the club released part one of its Dodgers Hometown Series based around Kenley Jansen and his wife Gianni.
Fan favorites Sue Jo (social media) and Erick Vazquez (senior producer) took a trip to Curaçao over the winter to get a first-hand look at the island where Kenley grew up.

Narrated by Dodgers’ public address announcer Todd Leitz, part 1 of the series introduces the Jansen family as they talk about what makes the island of Curaçao unique. Plus, we learn about Kenley’s childhood and upbringing, and how he saved his family home.
2020 marks Jansen’s 16th year in the Dodgers organization after being signed as an amateur free agent at the end of 2004. His story is universally known amongst Dodger faithful. After having spent several years as a light-hitting catching in the LA system, he (begrudgingly) transitioned to the mound and made his MLB debut less than one year later.
In his 10 big league seasons with Los Angeles, he’s earned three National League All-Star nods and became the Dodgers all-time saves leader with 301 currently under his belt.
Thank you to the Dodgers media team for this great window into the world of a living Dodger legend!
