Dodgers: Kristopher Negron Exits Game with Injury

Dodgers utility man Kristopher Negron exited Thursday afternoon’s game after face-planting on a diving effort in right field.

Negron was 0-2 in the contest, while playing right field for the first time with Los Angeles.

He injured himself on an all-out effort, in a full stretch diving attempt on a fly ball in the right center field gap. As he came down, his glove caught the turf and he was unable to brace himself for impact. Unfortunately, his face took most of the impact.

Vincent Samperio of Chavez Ravine Fiends hit the nail on the head with this still image.

Afterwards, he was slow to get up, as was noticeably bleeding from his nose, with some other markings on his face.

Matt Beaty came into the game as the Dodgers played musical chairs on defense and Negron came out of the game. It should be noted that he walked off on his own power.

Initially, you think possibly a broken nose, and potentially a concussion.

Negron is batting .297 with 2 home runs and 7 RBI in 13 games as a Dodger.

UPDATE:

Nothing is broken, and he does not have an concussion symptoms, just some contusions and possibly a bruised ego.
