Dodgers Legend Clayton Kershaw Shows Off His Acting Chops Once Again in New Commercial

Clayton Kershaw is good at pitching. Like, really good. In the history of Major League Baseball, there aren’t many who have been better than the Dodgers’ ace left-hander. While he’s good at throwing a baseball, he’s not the world’s greatest actor.

Not that he ever said he was.

What he lacks in acting chops he makes up for in goofiness on the screen. Take, for example, his latest commercial for Skechers which is absolute gold. The gimmick? These Sketchers stretch.

That premise is stretched all the way out and even includes a potential nod to Mr. Fantastic of the Fantastic 4.

Okay, in all honesty, this is an acting clinic. Kersh leans into the cheesy better than he has at any point in his commercial career. I’m sure many remember his electric but stiff performance in armor on the mound a couple years back…

We might even be able to say that Clayton Kershaw’s acting gets better with age!

Rotation-mate Walker Buehler gave him a hard time a few years ago over his acting, maybe Kersh took it to heart. “I’m not the best actor in the world,” Kershaw told Buehler in the intro clip of the linked episode of Backstage Dodgers.

Hopefully, Clayton’s contract with Skechers for the rest of his life because we are all better as human beings after seeing these gems.

I’m sure that line will go over well in the comments for no reason.
