The Brewers finished with the best record in baseball this year at 97-65, and went 6-0 against the Dodgers this season.

Left-handed pitcher Blake Snell is taking the mound for the Dodgers in Game 1. He’s made two postseason starts for LA this year, pitching 13 innings with two earned runs and 18 strikeouts.

In the regular season, he went 5-4 with a 2.35 ERA and 72 strikeouts across 61.1 innings pitched.

Opposite Snell will be Brewers left-hander Aaron Ashby, who’s acting as Milwaukee’s opener. He made four appearances in the NLDS against the Chicago Cubs, sporting a 5.79 ERA across 4.2 innings.

  1. My lineup would not include Freddie, Teo or Pages. I would not bat Ohtani leadoff either. Will Smith needs to learn the reason why he has a bat. It’s to be used for swinging to hit the strikes he complains about.

  2. the dodgers need to put justin dean in centerfield in the late innings. pages gives up on balls hit to the walls. its been proven all season. dean has an excellent arm, can leap like a cat and could have caught the ground rule double in last nights nlcs game 1 in the bottom of the ninth inning.

    1. I would say for the most part they do but in the closer games Dave doesn’t want to risk having Teo’s bat come back in the lineup and being stuck with Dean (as he did in Game 2 and then had to pinch hit Alex Call and LA couldn’t tack on any runs)
