Another Defeat snatched from the jaws of Victory. I’ve never seen a team so talented lose so many games they should win.
Tyler Glasnow has to be pissed. This is the 3rd or 4th game that he has pitched lights out, giving up 1-2 runs and either the offense stinks up the place or the bullpen blows the game. Good thing Freidman went out and got some arms for the bullpen…Oh wait, that was the Padres.
1-10 with RISP. 16 LOB. Will Smith swinging 3-0 with the bases loaded and popping out. Conforto jumping out of the way twice when he could have secured HBP to force in a run. Ohtani swinging at ball 4 in the 9th which would have tied the game. Bullpen giving up 3 HR’S. Yet we hear the same lame bs excuses of We are still in first, and they have the so and so best record in baseball. I don’t care what their record was last year at this time. All I have heard over the last 3 months is just wait until the rotation is healthy and everything will be fine. What good is that if you have an inept offense and bullpen. This is not 2024 folks, and if their overall performance does not improve significantly over the next 6 weeks, it does not matter a damn bit what their playoff rotation is.
