Dodgers Lineup vs Diamondbacks: Michael Conforto Out Against Right-Handed Pitcher

The Los Angeles Dodgers lost in walk-off fashion to the Arizona Diamondbacks Tuesday night, shrinking their lead over the San Diego Padres to just 1.5 games in the NL West.

The Dodgers will hope for similar production from the Cy Young pitcher Wednesday night against the Snakes. Opposite Snell is right-handed pitcher Ryne Nelson, who is sporting a 3.34 ERA with 123 strikeouts across 148 innings of work.

Michael Conforto is not in the Dodgers lineup for the second game of the series.

    1. The reality is Michael Conforto is practically a lock to be on the Dodgers postseason roster because he has a clear cut role on the team. Against right-handed pitchers, the outfield configuration is Tommy Edman in center, Teoscar Hernandez in right, and Conforto in left. He’s been hitting well since the start of September and fans can only hope he continues his hot streak in October.

      1. Valentina, my complements on interjecting after your initial writeup. Everyone else just seems to do their column and forget about things. Can’t say I always agree with you, but this isn’t life or death, we’re just talking baseball.

Now. You may very well be right, Conforto has hit better of late, not great, but better. And the team seems to have a lot more confidence in him than I do, as they keep playing him, regardless of his production. But it sure wouldn’t break my heart if he wasn’t on the postseason roster, he’s really stunk the place up this year. Truth hurts.
