  1. Substitute Pages for Conforto and you have a line-up for the ages. ???

    Shohei Ohtani, DH
    Mookie Betts, SS
    Freddie Freeman, 1B
    Teoscar Hernandez, RF
    Will Smith, C
    Max Muncy, 3B
    Andy Pages, LF
    Tommy Edman, 2B
    Hyeseong Kim, CF

However I am still rooting for Conforto, but until he proves he is ready to be a Dodger then…

    1. Doesn’t matter if they give up 8 runs a game. In their current ridiculous 4 game HOME losing streak, they’ve given up 32 runs and scored 20. They scored 28 in their last 2 wins vs. the As. This team is not playing well and it’s not just the bats. Roberts appears indifferent.

    2. Agreed… Its time for Conforto to sit a few games. Pages is pounding it but Conforto continues to play? That’s like saying if you spread enough manure on a dying plant, something beautiful will grow. Conforto needs a reset. He is a strike out or a ground ball waiting to happen at the moment…

  2. This Dodgers team is in trouble! At this point in the season, they’re NOT that good! And, MY SWEET LORD, haven’t we seen enough of Fat, Slow, Error & Strikeout waiting to happen, Max Muncy? This “over the hill,” NOT third baseman, threw another one away tonight, but the official scorer called it a hit. It wasn’t. Fatso was late to the ball, and botched a slow hit grounder, rushing the throw into the dirt away from Freddie. The scorer must’ve felt sorry for Slapsie Maxie! And Rag Arm, Mookie Betts is continuing his experiment at shortstop, but at least showed some offense pop tonight with 2 HR’s. Sorry, but we have to talk about the Dodgers’ pitching staff. The “Diva”, Tyler ‘Darling’ Glasnow, was cited in the dugout, yukking it up as his team was getting whopped. Was he there collecting on his $135 mil, 5 year deal? What are the odds he’ll pitch 125 innings this year? 100 to One he won’t. Can anyone name ONE reliable Dodgers starter not named Yamamoto? Did you also know, the bullpen is the most used pen in MLB so far this year, and with the Gimpy Dodgers’ starters, they all might need arm surgeries soon. the way it is now, LA will be lucky to finish 3rd or 4th in their division this year, and because of their pitching issues, that seem lengthy, could easily miss the playoffs. Dearest Dave Roberts, who knows Bupkis when it comes to how to handle a pitching staff – a Bruce Bochy he’s NOT – starts tonight’s game playing a rookie infielder, from Korea, in Centerfield, instead of the experienced centerfielder Tommy Edman, and the rookie, Haesong Kim, immediately loses a popup in the gloaming, and two runs scored in the 1st inning, when the Dodgers’ should’ve been out of the inning with no runs scored. This is how you lose games that you should’ve won. It does matters later in the season if you’re in a tight race. Shohei, Mookie, Freddie, Teo, are all 30 years old, or more, and they can carry a ballclub, but not every night. Without decent pitching, from starters AND relievers, this Dodgers’ season is shaping up to be a disappointing one for Dodgers’ fans. Yes, there’s a long way to go, anything can happen in baseball, and I’m sure no one is giving up, but 5 more months with an injury-riddled pitching staff spells disaster for the 2025 Dodgers’ season!

  3. Once again Vecchio makes some good points. Obviously and as usual, the Dodgers don’t have a clue about how to fix the current pitching problems — most of which they helped create. I don’t believe that anyone can cure the present situation. WHAT A MESS !!!! Here is my concern. Are the Dodgers going to “screw up” Ohtani’s pitching progress. Since they apparently are clueless about how to build a pitching staff and keep a staff healthy, why are we not to expect them to ruin Ohtani’s pitching also? I certainly hope not!

  4. Why is Conforto in the line up and Pages on the bench? Conforto couldn’t hit a beach ball with a tennis racket.
I say bench Conforto and put Pages in the lineup and let Edman play centerfield and move Kim to second base.
Come on Roberts use your head. Conforto is a bust and haven’t done much since he was a NY Met.

  5. Here we go again! You have a player who’s on fire and you sub him for a wet rag.
