The Los Angeles Dodgers, fresh off clinching the National League West for the 12th time in the last 13 years, are finishing out the regular season in Seattle with a three-game series against the Mariners.

Right-handed pitcher Emmet Sheehan (6-3, 2.86 ERA) is taking the mound for LA against right-hander George Kirby (10-7, 4.24 ERA) of the Mariners.
After clinching the NL West, the Dodgers are resting three key starters — Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman and Max Muncy.

Conforto in again and goes 0-4 and an error that could have cost them the game. If Roberts continuing to play Conforto isn’t scary enough, when I heard him imply after the game that Scott will be part of the post-season roster I almost cried. WE all have seen Scott’s meltdowns and now we have the potential to see him lose the Wild Card series and possible other post-season games, too. So what is Roberts’ logic on this one? Scott pitches the ninth inning last night and loads the bases by giving up a double and hits a batter. Nearly lost the game, once again. It’s a miracle he got out of that jam and his “reward” is to make the post-season roster??? Roberts says he now has “some tough decisions to make” regarding the bullpen before the playoffs start – which means Treinen and Scott will stay, and Sasaki won’t. And, extrapolating on that, Conforto will stay, Kim and probably Call will go. My crystal ball looks very dark and concerned right now.
