Dodgers Lineup vs Marlins: Mookie Betts Out, James Outman and Hyeseong Kim Starting

The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Miami Marlins, 7-4, Monday night to get back into the win column as they’ve now won eight of their last nine games. In the second game of this series in Florida, right-hander Tony Gonsolin will be on the bump for L.A. as fellow righty Cal Quantrill gets the nod for the Marlins.

Teoscar Hernández was placed on the injured list Tuesday and will miss at least the next week of action. Another key player — Mookie Betts — is out of the lineup for what is a scheduled day off, per manager Dave Roberts.

With Hernández and Betts out, Hyeseong Kim, James Outman and Miguel Rojas are in the starting lineup.

The Dodgers welcomed Hyeseong Kim with open arms to their ballclub, and in turn, he has delivered with a pair of stolen bases, an RBI, and two hits in four plate appearances. Expect Kim to get his first extra-base hit of his career today while Gonsolin punches out seven (in his second game back since August 2023 and third in a row against the Marlins) on the way to a Dodgers’ victory.
