Dodgers Lineup vs Mets: Will Smith Out, Hyeseong Kim Starts With Mookie Betts Still Sidelined

The Los Angeles Dodgers failed to secure the sweep over the New York Yankees Sunday, which could cost the defending champions as the team heads into a four-game series against the New York Mets.

The Mets have won seven of their last eight games, and are currently tied with the Chicago Cubs for the best record in the National League at 37-22. Therefore, this is a pivotal NL showdown for L.A.

The Dodgers lineup will face Mets right-handed pitcher Paul Blackburn Monday. Mookie Betts, who is dealing with a fractured toe, will not return to the lineup as the Dodgers have penciled in Hyeseong Kim as the starting shortstop for the series opener against the Mets.

Rookie catcher Dalton Rushing will also be in the starting lineup.
