Dodgers Lineup vs. Nationals: Andy Pages Not in Lineup, Tommy Edman in Outfield

The Los Angeles Dodgers lost their first series of the year against the Philadelphia Phillies. As the defending champions continue their road trip, the Dodgers will look to bounce back against the Washington Nationals.

For Monday’s game, the Los Angeles lineup will not have centerfielder Andy Pages. Instead, the Dodgers are moving Tommy Edman to the outfield and have penciled in Miguel Rojas as the starting second baseman.

This marks the first game of the season that Pages has not started.

Pages is hitting .118 with four hits thus far in 2025. He has struck out 14 times in 11 games so far. On Sunday, Pages made a horrible route and read on Phillies star Bryce Harper’s double in the seventh inning. The Dodgers lost their lead and never recovered, leading to a 8-7 loss against the Phillies.

“He took a bad read. It was a line drive, hit hard,” manager Dave Roberts said. “I think he broke in and then broke towards right field, and at that point in time he was beat by the baseball. It was just a tough read.”

Pages also made a critical base running error a few games prior during the Dodgers’ first loss of the season against Philadelphia.

“As a young player, you still got to play the game the right way,” Roberts said. “He was doubled off a couple games ago. And this one, you go and you stop — you just can’t. … Gotta eliminate those outs on the bases.”

  1. Here’s to Justin and the possibility of a fantastic rookie campaign. My guess for today’s game.
