  1. Come on guys, do something! The one team within their grasp to try to get an admittedly unlikely #2 seed, they have collapsed twice against the Phillies. Pathetic. They are on the brink of getting swept for the 7th time this season. If they lose the series finale tonight, they will be 1 – 11 vs the #1 and #2 NL seeds. Now 11 games remain, and they are struggling just to win the division, with 67 losses already securing their worst regular season since the 71 losses in 2018. With this payroll, lineup, and rotation. Don’t give me injuries as an excuse as all team have dealt with adversity. Rather than playing their best when finally getting healthy, they continue to underperform and underachieve. Now 28-35 since July 3rd when they were 56-32. Inexcusable. Roberts has no answers and the team seems to be just going through the motions. Very disappointing.

    1. After experiencing the misery of the past two games against Philly, I’d say this series pretty much sums up the season even if they win today. With expectations so high and everything coming together last year, this has been one difficult and frustrating season to endure. Yes, there seems to be no answers from Roberts on down, and each time we seem to think the team has turned the corner, it doesn’t. I rightfully fear the post season is going nowhere for the team with all we’ve seen but, of course, it’s always “baseball” and anything can happen that will surprise us. But that leads me to another thought – what if it doesn’t and what will that mean for next year? That 2024 WS Champioship is disappearing in the rear view mirror pretty fast about now, and another one is looking a loooong ways off.
