Dodgers Live Game Updates: Bullpen Game on Getaway Day vs Phillies

The Dodgers needed an exceptional start from rookie Bobby Miller on Saturday and that’s just what they got. Miller and Andre Jackson combined to shut the Phillies out 9-0 and, perhaps more importantly, keep the bullpen as fully rested as possible for today’s bullpen game.

LHP Caleb Ferguson makes his first “start” of the season and will face at least the top of the Philly lineup which features slugging lefties Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper. The fightin’ Phils counter with former All-Star right-hander Taijuan Walker.

It’s another early one so get that coffee pot going!

Here’s a look at the lineup Dave Roberts is sending out against the Phillies righty.

Really there are no surprises here. As Roberts said would happen, Will Smith starts the early day game after the late afternoon game while Austin Barnes remains sidelined with a bruised hand. Mookie Betts moves back to right field after a start at 2B yesterday. Jason Heyward starts in center over James Outman, something that feels like it’s becoming a more regular occurrence. David Peralta makes up the rest of the outfield.

Miguel Vargas and Miguel Rojas are back in after a day off.
