Before looking ahead to Game 7, though, the Dodgers have to win Game 6, and have the perfect guy on the mound to do it.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto, coming off consecutive complete games, is taking the mound for LA looking to keep the Dodgers’ season alive.

Opposite Yamamoto will be Kevin Gausman, who allowed three runs across 6.2 innings in Game 2 — but was cruising until the seventh inning when he allowed two solo home runs.

As for the lineup, the team is making some major changes.

Mookie Betts has been moved down to the cleanup spot, while Miguel Rojas is playing second base and Tommy Edman is going to center field. Edman hasn’t played center field (outside of extra innings in the team’s 18-inning game) due to his ankle injury, but with LA’s backs against the wall, manager Dave Roberts is doing what he feels give the team the best chance to win.

  1. Game 6 lineup is what I predicted in yesterday’s post but not Mookie batting 4th? He’s in a deep funk right now where he should be thinking getting on top of the ball hitting line drives up the middle going gap to gap. That’s why I would drop him to 6th, trying to get on base after the top 5 have cleared the bases. Batting 4th would be status quo in him swinging for the fences thus striking out, rolling over to pull side, or sliced pop out outs. They must see something different so I hope I’m wrong and he barrels one.

    1. I’m happy I was wrong in Mookie batting cleanup and luckily not Teo or Muncy. Mookie finally came through with the big hit knocking in those two eventual game winning runs after they unintentionally walked Freddie to get to him. Also I was happy they started Miggy Ro at 2B because he was solid defensively so many times especially the big pick at second to end the game. Even Mookie commended Miggy for taking charge on all the defensive calls and advising on game scenarios. Teo and Muncy must now step it up batting in the middle of the order. Tomorrow will be a battle with ALL HANDS ON DECK, WINNER- TAKE- ALL, all the cliches. GO DODGERS ! ! !

  2. Stupid! Just stupid! Putting Betts at the number 4 position is just plain stupid. He should be put no higher than the 7th spot. Muncy should come before him. Edman should be put before him. Hernandez too. Dumb move Roberts. Too little, and too late!

      1. Kim has been used sparingly by the Dodgers in the postseason, but he is on the World Series roster.
