Dodgers, Mets Reveal When Friday’s Game Will Resume
The Los Angeles Dodgers vs. New York Mets game on Friday will resume at 9:35 p.m. local time, the teams have announced.
The game was delayed in the top of the third inning with the Dodgers having two runners on and two outs. Freddie Freeman was up to the plate with a 3-1 count.
After the one hour and 38 minute rain delay, the Dodgers will need to make a pitching change. That means Clayton Kershaw — who was through two shutout and no-hit innings — will be done for the night.
The Dodgers will now have to turn to a bullpen game, and tax a bullpen that already leads Major League Baseball in innings pitched with 213.2.
This is the first of a three-game series for the Dodgers in New York.
